Women of the World is Going Green for the Holidays           Please join us for an evening of wine, women, and purpose (Supportive men welcome)     Tuesday, Dec 1, 2009 5:30 to 8:00 pm Green Home Chicago Design Center 213 N Morgan St       Complimentary for members $15 for guests     Please bring a new or gently used backpack and/or a new children’s book           Women of the World is a proud supporter of Luggage for Freedom, an initiative of NCJW Chicago North Shore. Its goal is to provide a sense of dignity to women who are staying at and transitioning out of domestic violence and homeless shelters. To that end, Luggage for Freedom provides gently used luggage packed with towels, sheets, blankets and new toiletries to women leaving local domestic violence shelters to start their lives anew. Luggage for Freedom also provide backpacks filled with books and stuffed animals for children.
