 Violence against women is not just “fodder for TV cop shows” - it's a disturbing fact of life locally & globally. In addition to being a law enforcement issue, it is also a major healthcare concern. Each year countless lives are lost or changed forever by it. We will have the opportunity to hear from the legal, cultural & medical experts on this topic. We will also have the unique opportunity to view the “Silent Witness” life-size silhouettes honoring Illinois women who died in 1994 as the result of domestic violence.
